Why Choose Hampton Veterinary Centre?

We aren’t the only vets locally – so why choose us? Find out how we aim to be the best vet for you and your pet.

We understand that choosing the right vet practice for your family is important. We all love pets and want to provide them with excellent health care. So, when all practices are promising the same, how do you pick the right one for you?

We believe it’s the little things that really can make a big difference. We aim to make every pet’s experience at the vets a pleasant one for all involved, and it’s with this in mind that we have developed our four key principles: care and fear-free, expertise, communication and client experience.

The Willows Veterinary Group - Hampton (Web) 038

We pride ourselves in providing the best standard of care to all of our patients and treating them as if they were our own pets.

Our team aim to be the best they can at their jobs, which means keeping up to date with the latest veterinary knowledge and techniques. In addition to our high standards of general veterinary care, we have also developed areas in which members of our team are highly knowledgeable. Simon Godsall has been conducting hip and elbow screening for BVA Scoring for many years and his opinion is sought by breeders countrywide.

We believe that good communication underpins every aspect of veterinary care. From chatting with you in the waiting room to giving post-operative advice and talking through bills and estimates, we think that you deserve our time. Our aim is to nurture a culture of communication, and we hope that as valued clients you feel happy to talk to us about any worries or concerns, no matter how small.

We think experience counts – maybe that’s why we have been treating pets in the local area for over 75 years. Our experience means we understand that bringing your pet to the vet can sometimes be a stressful time. Our aim is to provide the very best service, treatment and care to make your visit a happy one.

    In the community

We love to get involved – being a local community vet is central to our ethos. Maybe that’s why we have been at the heart of the community in Malpas for over 75 years. We regularly get involved in all pet related aspects in the local community, from fun dogs shows, to school visits, career fairs and raising money for local charities.

School/Nursery Visits

Our school and nursery visits are fun-filled events and great for getting children interested in all things pet related. We can tailor our visits to your requirements or arrange interactive activities where we can get the children to find the microchip on our toy dog or bandage a leg. We can show them ‘interesting’ things in jars (if they’re not squeamish), let them look at x-rays (you wouldn’t believe what dogs swallow) and even dress up as a vet.

We have worksheets for various abilities and ages and every child gets a sticker. Teachers will find that they are able to do a lot of follow up work and creative play following a visit from a vet. If you want to set up a ‘play’ vet clinic in the school or nursery following our visit we usually have some posters and veterinary materials to hand to help it look more realistic.

Careers Fairs

A career in the veterinary industry can be an extremely rewarding, but demanding role. Our presence at School/College careers fairs can be a great way to educate those interested in the veterinary care all about the highs and the lows. We can talk to students about the various job roles at a veterinary practice, from Kennel Nurse right through to Vet, the work entailed, likely pay, qualifications and training needed.
